What I've concluded doing research on a typical client of a Mentor......what I've learned.

Now that I'm out of a job, I've been watching a lot of Intervention. I think this is one of the best shows on TV. Why their are only two shows like this (Addicted is other). I don't know.  Its sort of like research. I get a lot of clients with the same issues as them. I used to have clients that where Ex-gang members from L.A. Their brain was messed up from drugs and they acted weird. Its a shame cause they were barely in their 20's and already their mental capacity is hindered, right at the age when they need it most.

It's one thing to watch it on TV though, its another to experience it for yourself, the difficulty in dealing with someone whose logical thinking is messed up either through developmental issues or drug issues. You risk your life working with them because they are frustrated, they don't belong anywhere, for hardly any pay.

The one thing I've concluded from the show, the underlining theme of drug addiction is that people who look to an outside source for happiness, or to other people to be happy are going to turn to drugs. It doesn't have to be Illegal either. Alcohol is a LETHAL drug. Just as lethal as any hit of cocaine. People with a mental disability who are disadvantaged from the beginning and are generally not very happy people, will almost always turn to drugs which just enhances their disability even more. Some of my developmentally disabled clients where raging alcoholics.

Once the body learns that it can be happy through self-medication, you are an addict for life. NO TURNING BACK. Addicts may get sober for years but they will always fight the urge to self-medicate for the rest of their lives.

Now that Marijuana is legal in some states you are gonna get young kids who think that they are not doing anything wrong smoking pot. It doesn't do anything to you health wise. A drug doesn't have to. All it has to do is take away the pain artificially. THAT'S ALL IT HAS TO DO. Then your brain never deals with whatever problems you had, that made you self-medicate to begin with. Then when the high wears off, you have to deal with your issues, so you self-medicate again. On and on and on. Never solving your problems

I really believe that Liberals and Progressives EVENTUALLY want to make all drugs legal. Its just a matter of time before you can go to Vons and pick up a sack of Cocaine. You may think that sounds crazy but I am willing to bet money that it will be a reality. They will reason that the drug war is causing a lot of deaths and is too expensive to fight so just legalize all of it.

I can just imagine later on say 20 years from now how EXTREMELY difficult it will be to get sober and stay sober when you can just go to a Vending Machine and pick up a 50 cent bag of Crystal meth. All perfectly legal.

You may think "That will never happen" but it already is.Starting with a "harmless" drug in Marijuana.

When the Population is distracted they will not stand and fight against Government Tyranny.

Lakers vs. Clippers......Digitally 2K14 style!

Next game in my Season is with the Clippers. I am 34-27 and the Clippers are 26-36. Both teams headed in different directions. I upped Kobe's minutes to about 36 a game, but ever since then he has shot a dismal 42% from the field (including a loss to the Pelicans where he shot 8 for 21). My Lakers have lost 4 in a row heading into this game and the Clippers are 11.5 games behind in the Pacific Division, where I lead. Ever since I made the game harder for the stretch run to the 2k14 Playoffs, wins have been hard to come by. I might need to use more of the playbook. I only use 2 plays for Kobe and basic Pick and roll and simple post ups for Gasol and the rest of the team. I might need to run different plays for Gasol to exploit his mid-range jumper as well as Nick Young who has emerged as my Second Best player.

First game of the season Kobe saved a 1 point victory 113 to 114 with a rejection against Chris Paul in the lane.....naturally that's his cover for this game.

The best Character in Game of Thrones.

Its my 40th Birthday Tommorow......I am a reject of Life

It's my 40th Birthday tommorow, by then I will no longer be a kid. I have done some reflection on my life and what I have accomplished. I will probably never have kids, I don't have a career to speak of like any other self respecting 40 year-old. I just got released from my job which I gave 110% to for $8.00 an hour. A job where I risk my life on a daily basis.

What has my life become? Bounce from paycheck to paycheck never getting ahead never owning a home. My one good accomplishment is that I have remained strong all throughout. I never drink or smoke or have done any self-medication. Even after having done so many jobs that I don't last at. When I was young I wanted to be a basketball player in the Phillippines. I figured height wouldn't be a problem. I was reject 2000000% there. Then I came to the U.S. and got kicked out of the house for having "Personality Traits" that are not good. I found Care-giving. The Occupation of the unwanted. I tried to go to school numerous times but was rejected.

As the years pass, my younger brother has a good job and a kid, my Niece is gonna be a nurse and is nurtered like crazy by my mom. My nephew is gonna be a Doctor. Some of my friends have good paying occupations. Where am I? In the Netherworld WITH MY FIST HELD HIGH! FUCK EM ALL!

My High School classmates used to call me a reject.........they weren't right about much but about that they where!

Might as well relax and enjoy it!

I just saw this movie while being suspended from my job at N.A.P.D. Real Good Flick!

When you are thinking "I am doing a GREAT Job" thats when you know you are about to be canned.

I just got fired from my job at New Advances for Disabilities.
Apparently the clients, who really aren't disabled, want to bully and
beat me up and I am supposed to take it for $8.00 an hour. I tried my
best at that job, I gave %110 but it counts for naught. If the clients
want to get you fired they can and management who knows better, don't
care. Its ok because like I told them i have ALOT of job skills and
finding a job for me isn't hard at all. In a good economy or bad. I
still have my job at Greg's Petroleum which is a job in an Oil Company.
In Bakersfield that is the kinda job that is good (hopefully). I talked
to my mom and she said that maybe I should be a nurse and go back to
school. I told her I would look into it at Santa Barbara Business
College. In the mean time I watched this bad-ass film. ENJOY!
